This coming weekend is the event you've all been waiting for...or not. :)  Seriously, though, there's going to be a big event in Charlottesville - a unity Democratic unity rally with Jim Webb, Harris Miller, and our Democratic Congressional candidates in the 1st (Shawn O'Donnell), 2nd (Phil Kellam), 5th (Al Weed), 7th (Jim Nachman), 10th (Judy Feder) and 11th (Andy Hurst) districts.  The rally will be at 2 PM on Saturday (6/24), at Lee Park in Charlottesville.

Be there, and cheer on the blue team against George "Bored" Allen, Jo Ann "Candy Cane" Davis, Thelma "Dick Cheney" Drake, Virgil "MZM" Goode, Eric "Abramoff" Cantor, Frank Wolf "in sheep's clothing," and Tom "DeLay" Davis.  It should be a rockin' time.

Tom Davis/David Safavian (Rebecca - 6/20/2006 6:02:15 PM)
Now that David Safavian has been convicted of several felonies you guys (and gals) need to start getting the word out that Safavian's wife is the general council to Tom Davis' Gervenment Reform Committee. Maybe she can still do a good job in between visiting her husband in prison.

"Tom, can we reschedule this hearing? I have to visit David in prison today."

Sounds like a plan (pitin - 6/20/2006 6:04:52 PM)
Guess I'm going back to UVA, the corner is going to be drinking liberally.

We're re-making the local drinking liberally chapter :) (Al Weed for Congress - 6/20/2006 8:15:04 PM)

Fluvanna (Kathy Gerber - 6/20/2006 7:27:33 PM)
Does this mean the candidates can't make it over to Fluvanna?  The strawberry social runs 1-3.

We going to C'ville for something else anyway, but I'm confused.

Too bad I can't make it (Vivian J. Paige - 6/20/2006 8:34:03 PM)
I wish they had planned this for last weekend, when the blog summit was going on. I've got a 6am flight out of Norfolk Sunday morning so I won't be able to make this. Y'all have fun!

Unity Rally Follows State Party Meetings (VADem4Ever - 6/20/2006 10:22:04 PM)
The Unity Rally comes at the end of two days of Democratic Party of Virginia meetings of the Steering Committee, Central Committee, and Women's Caucus.  Webb is also going to speak to the state party meeting earlier in the day.

That's why it is being held this weekend.

How was it? (mkfox - 6/24/2006 9:00:13 PM)
Anyone here make it to the rally?
