The Money Pours In...

The ever-helpful Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP)  is posting daily updates of "large"  donations (defined as "$1,000 or more to House candidates and $2,500 or more to statewide candidates") to Virginia campaigns.  Among the most interesting recent contributions:

*$50,000 from his Mary D. Baril, Steve Baril's wife, in his race for the Republican Attorney General nomination. Baril also is listed as having received four, $10,000 donations from real estate developers.
*$41,195 from the Virginia Conservative Action PAC to Bob "Did I or Didn't I Have Sodomy?" McDonnell.
*$25,000 from ultra-conservative, super-rich Republican donor (and former Shenandoah Electric Intelligence owner) Walter Curt.
*Another $15,000 from Walter "bottomless pockets" Curt to 33rd district right-wing challenger, Christopher Oprison.
*$12,000 from Claire Gastanaga to Democratic Lt. Gov. candidate Viola Baskerville.
*$10,000 from Alexandria-based Analex Corp. to Sean Connaughton for Lt. Governor.
*$8,000 to Libby Garvey from herself, to herself, in her run for the 45th House of Delegates district Democratic nomination.

There's lots more at VPAP, which plans to update this information each afternoon through June 14.  Loads of money, loads of fun...to see where the candidates are getting it from, that is.
