Hello Everyone:

Below is a poll from the extreme right wing Neocon NewsMax.com on Ann Coulter where she gets amazingly high poll numbers (which should not be a big surprise coming from NewsMax.com)!

This is important because it shows how much people like that are ideologues and what is at stake if candidates who hold to this extreme philosophy win their races in the 2006 elections!

It is also important because George Allen's Treasurer Mary Matalin has defended Ann Coulter and NewsMax.com has George Allen as their "Star Player" for President in 2008:

Mary Matalin: Lefties Worse Than Ann Coulter

Star Player for 2008: George Allen+óGé¼Gäós Common Sense

I think that George Allen needs to give a straight "up or down vote" about what he thinks of what Ann Culter has said in her new book as well as if he is the NewsMax.com "Star Player for 2008!"

You can also open up this link to vote against Ann Coulter if you would like to (I already did):

Please forward this on, especially to people in Virginia!

Poll: Huge Support for Ann Coulter

Ann Coulter+óGé¼Gäós new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism" has created a storm of controversy, but an online poll sponsored by NewsMax.com reveals that Americans overwhelmingly support Coulter and strongly disagree with her critics.
In the book +óGé¼GÇ£ which shot to the top of Amazon.com+óGé¼Gäós list of best sellers the day after it was published and has debuted at the No. 1 spot on The New York Times nonfiction list +óGé¼GÇ£ Coulter criticizes four New Jersey widows who pushed for an independent commission to investigate the 9/11 attacks that killed their husbands, and backed Democrat John Kerry for president in 2004.

"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis,+óGé¼-¥ Coulter wrote.

Hillary Clinton immediately lashed out at Coulter for what she called her "vicious, mean-spirited attack+óGé¼-¥ on the widows and said the book should have been called "heartless.+óGé¼-¥

House Democrats from New York and Long Island signed a letter demanding an apology from Coulter, and two New Jersey Democrats sought to have the book banned in that state.

NBC's Matt Lauer also went on the attack against Coulter when she appeared on the "Today+óGé¼-¥ show, and The New York Times said her book is "in need of flogging.+óGé¼-¥

But the NewsMax poll +óGé¼GÇ£ which drew more than 90,000 respondents from sites across the Web, such as Drudge Report and The New York Times - shows that the establishment assault on Coulter and her book did not change many minds.

The huge majority of respondents to NewsMax+óGé¼Gäós poll +óGé¼GÇ£ more than eight out of 10 surveyed - believe Coulter was right in criticizing the four 9/11 widows from New Jersey.

And the tens of thousands of respondents overwhelmingly agree that media coverage of Coulter and her book has been unfair.

NewsMax will provide the results of this poll to major media and share them with radio talk-show hosts across the country.

Here are the poll questions and results:

Speaking of Cookies (KathyinBlacksburg - 6/19/2006 2:27:07 PM)
Newsmax and others tried to put so many cookies on it wasn;t worth it.  But thanks for the story anyway.  It points out that there really are people who believe anything they read or are told.  And it's our job to set the record straight.  But, the hard-core 38% or so of Americans who'd use Coulter as a role model aren't worth thinking about.  It's the rest of the country we have to focus on.

You can buy the book for less than $5 on the site (Andrea Chamblee - 6/19/2006 5:49:41 PM)
No doubt so they can say she's sold "millions of copies."

Notice they don't ask if you believe Ann Coulter's remarks were "vicious" and "heartless."  They ask if you agree with Hillary Clinton that Ann Coulter's remarks were "vicious" and "heartless."  People on that site wouldn't agree with Hillary if she said the sky is blue.
