Sometimes the short diaries are often the best. This one isn't one of those. Do we have a candidate in the 4th Congressional District or not?
Any links or news would be good.

There will be no challenger in the 4th district.
Sorry to tell you that. Hopefully Webb will win in Chesapeake, and that will help encourage a challenger to step up to Forbes next time.
The 7th district ended up appointing a candidate. Only the 4th has none.

The 6th doesn't a candidate either. Are you sure there isn't a starter in the 4th? Got a web link?

Okay, didn't know about the 6th. But, no, according to every report I've heard from the Democratic Committee in Chesapeake, there's nobody in the 4th at all. If there is, s/he's hiding extremely well.

I live in the 4th and am on the 4th district committee. There is no candidate. No one was ever presented to our committee as a possibility, although I don't know if anyone came forward and expressed interest to others on the committee. Despite being what he is, Randy Forbes has good constituent service and appeals to enough in the 4th that it would take an exceptional candidate to oppose him. So far, no one wants to take it on.
