Bobby Scott is a great congressman who stays focus on his mission in keeping his progressive values even when it's not popular at the time. For example the Iraq war and Patriot Act. 'nuff said.

If you won't be able to come but would like to help Cong. Scott's campaign, that would be awesome! Please let's help support Bobby Scott with his reelection campaign.

PS: He ain't got no campaign website going yet! That's why he needs our help and support.

I have a problem with this (teacherken - 6/16/2006 4:40:59 PM)
Bobby Scott got 70% of the vote the last cycle.  He is in absolutely no danger of losing his seat.  This is the kind of fundraiser that could raise big money for competitive or potentially competitive races -- Jim Webb, Phil Kellum, All Weed, etc.

I refuse to go give scarce dollars to campaigns that (a) don't need it, and (b) have no trouble raising money.

I am actually somewhat bothered that Franken would do an event for Scott given all the other competitive races around the country that really need the money.

Don't get me wrong.  Bobby Scott is a good guy.  But it is this kind of politics that drives me nuts.

I think (ProgressiveAM - 6/16/2006 5:15:31 PM)
every campaign always in need of money and volunteer regardless of competitiveness of a race. Bobby Scott is a great congressman but his fundraising skills is not up-to-par.
