Conservative Blogger: A Vote for Harris Miller is a Vote for George Allen

In addition to thousands of volunteers and contributors, scores of Virginia democratic leaders, and nearly the entire leadership of the US Senate, we've apparently also convinced Conservative Republicans that Jim Webb is the best man to take on George Allen.

Here's a little beauty from a conservative blogger in Roanoke.

Conservatives, vote tomorrow in VA for MILLER

Since Virginia has open primaries, ANY REGISTERED VOTER can vote in ANY primary.

As a conservative, I plan to hold my nose and vote in the Democrat primary tomorrow, Tues. June 13.

[...]

I plan to VOTE FOR MILLER and encourage all to do the same, as he is the weakest opponent to George Allen.

Tomorrow, Virginia Democrats will disappoint George Allen and give the nomination to Jim Webb.

Vote early and often! ;)

Jim will get plenty of Democratic, Independent and Republican votes.

Yeah a vote for Miller is a vote for Allen.

Kerry, Reid, Sheilds, Totenburg, Kerry and Schumer are right : Webb is the man.

Embarrassing (Dan - 6/12/2006 4:55:11 PM)
Man I hope Republicans will NOT come out in force.  How embarrassing would it be for Miller if he won the primary because Republicans voted for him?  What message would that send his pathetic campaign?

Perhaps the question is... (ericy - 6/13/2006 1:31:44 AM)

what are Allen's favorable/unfavorable numbers with Republicans like?  I have a hard time believing that there are that many Republicans that care enough about Allen that they would bother to go to the polling place.

Given Webb's record, he could easily pick up some military voters - some who may well be registered as Republicans.

We will know soon enough..

Allen is hovering around 50%.  For an incumbent he's vulnerable.

The GOP was out yesterday (KathyinBlacksburg - 6/14/2006 12:47:29 PM)
The husband of the Republican district chair even voted in our primary.  He claimed to my husband that he likes Webb, but you and I know he was voting for Miller.  Also, interestingly, in my county, Miller did well in some heavily GOP precincts, which also suggests a cross-over vote for Miller.  It'll be interesting getting the data from Prevail at a later time.
