Dems Rally Behind Rex

Well, that certainly didn't take long.  This evening, Rex McCarty, candidate for Virginia House of Delegates from the first legislative district, will be nominated by acclamation in a Democratic caucus at Duffield Primary School.  Also, according to this PDF press release, McCarty has already received several high-profile endorsements in his run against Terry "Twin Brother of Jerry" Kilgore:  Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine, State Sen. Phil Puckett, and numerous other officials from Scott, Wise, Lee, and Washington counties.

Sounds like the Democratic Party is rallying big time behind Rex McCarty's candidacy -- and fast!  This should make the Republicans just a wee bit nervous, but personally I hope they remain their usual arrogant, smug, and over-confident selves regarding  McCarty's chances against Terry K.  Incredbily one Republican blogger has even declared, in typical hyperbolic fashion, that McCarty will be lucky to get 35% of the vote against Kilgore.  Yeah, right, guys, you just keep on thinking that!  If you do, the laughter will be all the louder (and sweeter) on November 8, as we Democrats whoop it up at Rex McCarty's victory party.
