Ok, lets have a contest; How many people can you bring to the polls who wouldn't otherwise vote! (Prize will be the satisfaction of a Webb Win)

For Me: 10 Neighbors, 4 Family Members, 2 Godparents, and 22 friends (and ive only called my friends through the m's). Seriously guys, its not that hard, If every Raising Kaine reader goes out and gets JUST 10 people, that's 13,000 extra voters (enough to tip the scales in a low-turnout election). Your neighbors, co-workers, friends, parents, in-laws, aunts, uncles, siblings. Its not that hard! If every Webb volunteer brings 10 people to the polls thats an extra 25,000 people voting for Webb. It really isn't that hard, Just do it!

Disclaimer: This doesnt work if you assume everyone else will do it... If Webb wins it will be all your and no one elses fault!

I will try and get 10 (Dan - 6/5/2006 11:06:04 PM)
I have a list of about 12-13 people to contact before the election.  I have already gotten 2 or 3.  Thanks for the post James!

Do you know (TurnVirginiaBlue - 6/5/2006 11:13:29 PM)
if the campaign or anyone for that matter is offering rides?

My list as of now... (Loudoun County Dem - 6/5/2006 11:14:20 PM)
8 Neighbors, 6 Family Members, 19 Friends and growing...

miller and webb in alexandria tonight (pvogel - 6/5/2006 11:19:28 PM)
miller and webb were in alexandria tonight
Webb was better at answering ??? than in april, Miller was very animated

The larouchies were there, they asked all the ??? because
nobody else asked them

Also, webb spoke at the beginning, before the microphone was there, and Miller got  a mic. and more time, and more applause.

alexandria is miller territory, fer sure.

Mmmm (Arturo - 6/6/2006 10:43:05 AM)
I was there too.  As people were leaving, 3/4 of the crowd had Webb stickers on. Some people gave him a hard time, privately, but he handled their issues in a very professional, senatorial manner.  I also noticed that many more people picked up Webb signs than Miller signs.  Things must be turning around for Webb in Alexandria.

My count (Virginia Centrist - 6/5/2006 11:59:54 PM)
I have 12 friends who wouldn't have voted, but I'm making them vote.

RE: Numbers (JPTERP - 6/6/2006 12:47:08 AM)
7 rock-solid Webb who will be voting (and probably wouldn't have otherwise).  5 to follow-up with.  4 more to contact.

My mom (summercat - 6/6/2006 5:59:59 PM)
has already voted for Webb, via absentee ballot--her first-ever vote in a Democratic primary.  I will be taking her best friend and anyone else who wants to go from the friend's senior housing to the polls on Tuesday.  I guess we have to lowkey this as a pro-Webb transport service?  Old thing about not giving people anything to vote?? (Unless you are a lobbyist, and the people are congressionals, lol.)

My mom as well... (Loudoun County Dem - 6/6/2006 6:58:38 PM)
She voted for Webb last week before traveling to Ohio.
