Alice Marshall (GOTV) posted the following this evening:

Why Webb can't win

A Newbie On The Campaign Trail

He started late, and doesn't know what he's doing. That's not necessarily the death knoll, but it's pretty close. Especially if you don't listen to people that have done this before.

Wonder what she has been smoking?

She picked it up (Arturo - 6/4/2006 9:58:42 PM)
from another person's blog.  If you click on the link she has there, you can read the entire diary.  swedeandczech or something...

Facts don't matter to some people (JennyE - 6/4/2006 9:59:42 PM)
Alice in Wonderland. Haha.

Good one! (Nichole - 6/5/2006 7:01:25 AM)
Ha ha!

It's not "death knoll" (Lowell - 6/4/2006 10:10:48 PM)
It's "death knell."  These people aren't going to win the primary and they're not going to win any spelling bees either! :)

ya know, (Kathy Gerber - 6/4/2006 10:43:22 PM)
I just saw somewhere that Miller's people were English majors.

Those kinds of errors don't bother me, unless they are on public signs or in newspapers.  That's a pet peeve.

Anyway, that reminds me of something that Alice wrote one time.  I'm pretty sure it was in the middle of a bunch of comments and she noted that Harris Miller supports the neutral net.

It was a bit of a non sequitur and reminded me of Bush saying don't forget about Poland.

And now I know that a bunch of U.S. jobs are outsourced to Poland.  Come to think of it, I am pretty sure that when it comes to Europe, most of the outsourced jobs are gone to Bush's "New Europe" and not (scoff - hold the fries) "Old Europe."  Am I off base here?

Yeah.. (Nichole - 6/5/2006 7:03:13 AM)
I also hate when people mess up the spelling of words on signs, letters, etc.

Come on people :)

I thought (Mark - 6/5/2006 9:28:45 AM)
it was the 'grassy knoll', but what do I know?

Hmm . . . (JPTERP - 6/4/2006 10:48:25 PM)
What "people who have done this before say" (e.g. Don Beyer?):

"Listen Harris--you don't stand a chance against this guy.  Believe me, if you run on your own merits, you don't stand a chance.  Remember--attack ads, the 10 second sound bite.  Attack ads, the 10 second sound bite.  Attack ads, the 10 second sound bite.  And then tell voters that you don't believe in these things.  Remember: you are the reformer with results.  It may not be true of course, but there are people who will still believe it.  Especially if you keep repeating it again, and again, and again.  The only truth that matters in politics is repetition."

A second thought (JPTERP - 6/4/2006 11:03:26 PM)
Does Ms. Marshall have any empirical evidence to support her claim, or is this simply "truth" by mere assertion?

Truthiness! (Craig - 6/5/2006 12:32:23 AM)
n/t

Ignore the facts! (Nichole - 6/5/2006 7:04:18 AM)
I agree that is what this certainly is!

Maybe the whole Miller platform is truthiness?

"Veritasiness Tour" o/t (Loudoun County Dem - 6/5/2006 8:28:16 AM)
That's what a t-shirt given to Stephen Colbert by the students of Knox College where he gave the commencement speech.

The speach is (of course) hilarious...

Highlights:

"I don't know if they've told you what's been happening in the world while you've been matriculating. The world is waiting for you people with a club....They are playing for KEEPS out there, folks."

His suggestions for securing the U.S.-Mexico border went beyond walls to include moats, fiery moats and fiery moats with fire-proof crocodiles.

Alice will come over when Webb wins. (kevinceckowski - 6/5/2006 10:16:08 AM)
Enought said, Alice will come over when Webb wins. She is a little full of it (her statement above), but we all have a little fluff now and again.  We will need everyone to win Allen in the fall.  I feel certain Webb's organization and his personal skills as a leader will propel him to victory next week.  Hold onto your seats Miller, its going to be a bumpy ride, fasten your seatbelts.  Webb was drafted more than ready to fight a good fight.

Alice (PaulVa - 6/5/2006 11:15:19 AM)
Got stuck in the rabbit hole.

Alice Marie Marshall (loboforestal - 6/5/2006 5:04:41 PM)
Let's fit the dots together
1) This is Alice's business : http://www.prestovivace.biz/
2) Alice in public relations
3) It doesn't look like Alice's business is too big.
4) Alice probably needs some money.
5) Here's here professional blog: http://technoflak.blogspot.com/  Apparently nobody read it.
6) Nobody supports Harris Miller, especially people who understand technology.
7) Harris has gotten beaten up on the internet.
8) Alice advertizes this ...
_________
Increased name recognition will give your company a competitive edge that will help close sales and retain customers. Prospects will visit your web site. Advertising is more productive. Direct mail generates more responses. Telephone calls are returned. You will experience the pleasure of having prospects call you.

Public relations is not a single press release but a comprehensive and continuous effort. Tell us about your product or service and we will place your story where your prospects and partners will see it; whether it is television, magazines, newspapers or blogs.

So, I'm guessing Alice is Harris' paid troll.  She's in it for the money. Is she a contractor for the Miller campaign?

Great Catch! (PaulVa - 6/5/2006 9:22:48 PM)
