kos himself has a front-page story that discusses the recent troll problems.  You have not had TU for at least 3 months, so you automatically lost it as part of the corrective necessary to keep the site clean.

I checked the diary in question -- he gave you one troll rating - inappropriately to be sure, but you had more than enough postive recommends on that one comment to have countered any damage that one rating did.

The site administrators were already aware of Kevin

and folks, I suggest you remember it is not necessary to feed trolls  --  Kevin got over 80 comments and no recommends  -- no one is paying much attention to him anyhow over at dailykos

I'm sure he'll be back for more helpings.  And thanks for explaining what happened to the TU status there.

isn't like a badge or something, it means you're so active and your opinion is considered trustworthy they automatically give some moderator capabilities to your account.

Just for those who have TU status he changed it to 2 trolls per day and I think this is a very good thing.

I just can't stand KEVIN SCHMIDT BLAH BLAH ALL CAPS BC I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO MAKE UP FOR SOMETHING AND MY MOMMY DIDN"T GIVE ME ANY ATTENTION

I had someone cyberstalking me claiming I was "Tom Tancredo, racist white supremacist blah blah blah" posting massive misinformation as well as outright slanderous posts with my name as the title and so on. 

(Reality is I am a liberal but also follow economics and my favorite Democrat is FDR...Another reality is Webb is going to probably decide things I don't agree with, but what I do agree most heartedly with is the ability to listen to facts, based decisions on information and not be purchased by multinational corporations, which in my opinion are destroying the nation since they now write our legislation in so many words and why I want him so much to win)

Anyway, I dealt with this by ignore, then I got spam posts that an economics study was invalid because the cyberstalker didn't like what it concluded and I realized this person actually couldn't read the paper because it used mathematics and statistics...so I responded with math equations for awhile..with "what is this math"?

ok, then I thought that was pretty immature of me and just ignored it unless the cyberstalker really spammed my own diary and troll rated most of the posters which happened.

Well, guess what, the system works.  Eventually this person was troll rated and picked up by others...

so moral of the story?  Ignore the trolls, don't bother to respond to an obvious troll post or inflammatory post and troll rate when it mets the criteria of the rules...people will pick up on them and it's a matter of patience..
which I didn't follow initially and probably actually made me look like an idiot for getting upset.  :)
