Electability against George Allen is a very important thing to think about!

Hello Everyone:

Electability is something that is very important to look at when deciding which Democrat will run against George Allen in the November election.

Harris Miller mainly has to run on "that he is not George Allen" while Jim Webb has his very distinguished military record in a post 9/11 world!

Jim Webb will also be able to win over far many more moderate, independent, and disillusioned Republican voters being a new former Republican than Harris Miller ever could which is very important in a state like VA where you will need many of those votes in order to win in the general election!

These are very important things to think about in my opinion!

Disillusioned Republicans for Webb (kevinceckowski - 5/30/2006 11:33:07 AM)
I think that is a very good point.  The Republican party of the Ronald Reagan days is much different than today. Webb has a chance of bringing them back, both in the cities of Virginia and in the country-side.  As I drove to Warrenton last weekend, I could not help but notice 3 WEBB signs on the roadside just outside of The Great Meadow.  This is prime horse country and just the week before it was flooded with Allen signs.  They were all gone. Who took them down? The wind, anti-Allen supporters?  It was a breath of fresh air that Webb's name is making it out of NOVA and Norfolk and Charlottesville and Roanoke.  If all those lines converge, we can see victory in June and victory in November.  A lot of hard work in-between.  A lot of good ads on the radio and tv to counter Allen's.  He will hit Webb with everything he's got.  He has the staff and the cap. to do it.  Will the democratic party come full force to Virginia's needs?  We shall see.  The polls show that Virginia is ranked way down at number 15 or thereabouts. If Miller wins, it will stay that low, but if Webb gets the nomination, it may be in the top 5 for Senate races. I think it will take the eye of the nation into our own backyard. kc
