Last 100 Posts on Raising Kaine

Ben Tribbett is counting the number of posts on his blog that deal with Webb/Miller and those that don't.  According to Ben, out of his last 172 blog entries, 51 (29.7%) dealt with the Senate race, while 121 (70.3%) were on another topic.

Anyway, I decided to do the same thing here at Raising Kaine. Of the last 100 front-page articles, there were - by my count - 39 (39.0%) on Webb vs. Miller, 61 (61.0%) on something else.  Given that the Webb/Miller race is the main thing going on in Virginia politics right now, I think that spending 39% of our time on this subject is perfectly proportionate.  Finally, I would point out that Raising Kaine was instrumental in starting up the "Draft James Webb" movement, and that everyone on Raising Kaine backs Webb.  Obviously, this is what we're thinking about right now to a large extent, especially given the lack of movement in Richmond the past couple months...

One last point: our new SoapBlox format allows anyone to post a diary on any subject.  So, if you are sick of hearing about Webb vs. Miller, just post a diary on a different topic.  If it's well written, it has a decent chance of being "recommended" or promoted to the front page.  This is, after all, a community blog.  Thanks.

If you have something to talk about, but its not really diary worthy, head on over to the open thread.

And Lowell-try as I might, I still cannot add pics.

Any way we can get a "how to" for pics and blockquotes in the info section?

I don't want you to get your panties in a bunch over it, but....

;)

There's a rudimentary (Lowell - 5/25/2006 4:28:42 PM)
"how to use this site right here.  Adding pics is VERY easy; just do this.

I suck. (phriendlyjaime - 5/25/2006 4:42:45 PM)

How do you hyperlink a site?

Use an a href="" with (Lowell - 5/25/2006 6:47:11 PM)
< and > around it.  Also, always make sure you close the code at the end, with /a (in brackets) in this case.

I'm absolutely sure that if you ran the same analysis of posts about Kaine v. Kilgore, you'd get similar results... probably many more about Kaine.

We do need to talk about Phil Kellam, Judy Feder, Al Weed, Andy Hurst and Ken Longmyer.  We do need to talk about the no-tax brats in the house of delegates who think it's just dandy for people to spend more time in their cars and less time with their kids.

Still, Gimme a break!  In VA electoral politics Webb v. Allen is THE STORY OF THE YEAR.

Topics should spread out more after the primary... (Loudoun County Dem - 5/26/2006 11:38:55 AM)

I've written a lot about Kellam, Feder, Hurst, Longmyer (Lowell - 5/26/2006 2:40:13 PM)
etc.  I've done interviews with most of them.  And you know what?  Based on the # of comments, people overwhelmingly want to hear more about Webb vs. Miller.  What does that tell you?
