Calling for ideas on how to feed the trolls!

Well, it's only going to get worse, so we need to think of a game plan.  The people in the blogosphere have most likely already made their choice on who to vote for in the Democratic Primary Race of VA on June 13, 2006.  We all hope that they will be voting for James Webb, as he is the strongest candidate here in VA, and considered the strong candidate for US Senate by people in many other states as well.  But we also know that this is going to be a close race, and that we should all be using our valuable time to get the word out through various organized efforts.  Phonebanking anyone? :)

As for the trolls...I can't say it enough; let's not feed them!  Now, there have been many fun ways on all different kinds of sites to deal with trolls; some music sites I frequent have "ignore" buttons, where members can add a user to their ignore list, and their comments will not be shown to the user who placed the troll on that ignore list.  That doesn't really help the people who may not use the ignore list.  I have also been to sites where a troll is verbally beaten down mercilessly and forced to leave.  Takes too much time, imo.  Most of us frequent Daily Kos, and they embrace the "troll recipe" game, which means that they add a recipe for something yummy (or they change the ingredients and make it a recipe for baking/cooking/stewing/frying trolls) as a comment or reply to a troll.  That's pretty cool.  But I think Raising Kaine needs something specific to Virginia, our great Commonwealth.  I have a few thoughts, and I am hoping that you will all engage in this fun game with me.

Any takers?
