Miller Robocall

I just came home from a meeting and found a call on my phone from "Sue" from the Miller campaign.  She was "shocked" that Webb told Miller to shut his mouth and at Webb's conduct during the debate.  She wants a real Democrat and that is why she is voting for Miller.

I have to wonder if the Miller campaign realizes that there are some Webb supporters who will do nothing for Miller if he wins.  I am one of those people.

I got one too. (phriendlyjaime - 5/22/2006 9:04:58 PM)
And I did pledege to be phriendly and positive tonight, so I won't break my promise from my diary.  But I was disappointed with the call.  It really was just unprofessional and untrue.  Really low blow by the campaign imo.  But that's ok; we just all have to work our phonebanks extra hard tomorrow!!!!

I love it, "Sue" from the Miller campaign. (Lowell - 5/22/2006 9:23:59 PM)
To date, I think I've only seen young white guys representing Miller.  Oh, once or twice they might have brought their girlfriends, but seriously, I think the Miller campaign is 90% male. Maybe it's a "boy named Sue?" Ha.

Could it be (Arturo - 5/22/2006 10:44:58 PM)
Alice Marshall posing as Sue?

I received the same robot call but I got it "live" so I just hung up before it played through. So is that what Alice sounds like?

Harris Miller's campaign is just too negative (JennyE - 5/22/2006 10:57:23 PM)
Has he ever given voters a reason why they should vote for him? His campaign is all about being anti-Webb. He's one pitiful individual.

RE: Gettin' Dirty (JPTERP - 5/23/2006 2:30:35 AM)
This is a risky strategy for Miller.  Miller can't win the primary based on his own merits or his resume, so he has to resort to desperate measures.  It's likely that these attacks will reflect negatively on Webb, but it's just as likely that primary voters will simply be turned off by both candidates (which doesn't help Miller either).  Hopefully, primary voters will see this stuff for what it is.  In the 2004 these type of tactics backfired against Kilgore.

JIM WEBB PHONEBANKING TONIGHT....IS EVERYONE SIGNED UP?

We all certainly do quite a bit of bitching, so are we ready to put the rhetoric aside and move with this?  You all heard the robo calls last night from the Miller campaign spreading lies and misinformation about James Webb, VA's next Senator, and we aren't going to win this primary or this election by sitting on our cute asses!  C'mon now...don't be shy!  WHO IS WITH ME!?!?!?
