Bloggers Aren't Funny, Eh?

So, the Richmond Times-Dispatch thinks that bloggers are "not funny."  In fact, we're not "clever" either.  And one blogger in particular - Will Vehrs of Commnonwealth Conservative - even has "deficient wit," according to the RTD.  Well, how dare the Right Wing Times-Dispatch (whoops, that probably wasn't funny or clever either!) say that about us bloggers?  The bastards!

With that in mind, how about we come up with some funny/clever slogans for the RTD?  You know, like the New York Times "All the News that's Fit to Print" or the Washington Times "The Paper for Moonies and Fox News Viewers!"  (sorry, not funny or clever again, dammit).

A few suggestions, specially for our friends at the RTD:

*"All the news that Eric Cantor's wife and the Media General board of directors tells us is "fit to print"

*"We're totally unfair and unbalanced, but at least we don't try to hide it!

*"An inch deep and a mile wide - news that will keep you confused!"

*"We may not be the greatest paper in the world, or even in Virginia, but how many others have a section called 'Flair'?"

*"If people keep buying fewer of our newspapers, pretty soon, we'll all be unpaid bloggers too!"

Hahahahahahahahaha.  Funny?  Not funny?  Can you do better?  Anyway, let's all support our blog-comrade-in-arms, Will Vehrs, and show the RTD just how "clever" and "funny" we are.  Speaking of which, what's black and white and read all over?  NOT the Richmond Times-Dispatch, that's for sure!  Hahahahahahaha.  Thud.

The irony is their eating one of their own (JC - 5/10/2006 9:14:53 AM)
Will Vehrs is a conservative.  Maybe the RTD is trying to get him fired so they can hire him for the editorial board.

Slogan (Tom Joad (Kevin) - 5/10/2006 10:28:35 AM)
Not above advertising for the Paper Moon!

Considering that their (Mark - 5/10/2006 1:43:09 PM)
Op-Ed editor claims that all homosexuals are predatory and out for the children (gasp!!)I would have to think their homophobia and absolute slant in news coverage would make it easy to come up with slogans.

"We like everybody except fags and dykes!! (Oh, and poor people!!)"

"Times-Dispatch, Bringing Hate Into Your Home, One Issue at a Time"

"Times-Dispatch: Your Source for the News We Think You Should Know"

"We Never Met a GOP Scandal We Couldn't Bury on Page A-12!!"

This is easy. Like lining the catbox with the Times Dispatch.

These are hilarious! (Lowell - 5/10/2006 1:56:35 PM)
Keep 'em coming... :)

I thought this was mandated by the "No Blogger Left Behind Act" (which has been severely underfunded)... ;-)

Sorry. (David Lang - 5/10/2006 4:50:30 PM)
Can't. I'm a very dull person.

They're right! There is nothing funny in the Virginia blogosphere. We're completely devoid of any sort of a sense of humor. Nope. No humor here. Move along, folks, nothing amusing to read here.

Except not really.

That was the most poorly written article I've ever read, and I was an editor for my high school's literary magazine way back when- and if you want bad writing, you want some overly dramatic high school student who thinks she can write poetry.
