From the Webb campaign:

Jim Webb, Democratic Candidate for United States Senate, received today the endorsements of Roanoke County Sheriff Gerald Holt, Roanoke County Commissioner of the Revenue Nancy Horn and Roanoke County Clerk of the Circuit Court Steve McGraw.

The three highly respected long-time constitutional officers released the following joint statement along with their endorsement:

+óGé¼+ôIt is with much pride +óGé¼GÇ£ combined with a true sense of destiny and purpose +óGé¼GÇ£ that we write this message endorsing James Webb+óGé¼Gäós candidacy for the Virginia Democratic Party+óGé¼Gäós nomination for the office of United States Senator.

+óGé¼+ôHaving met with Jim Webb on two occasions last winter, we were already impressed with his background and qualifications for this office before talking with him here in the Roanoke area.  In our conversations with Jim, we were further impressed by his intellect, his sincerity and his sense of humor.  Since then, Jim+óGé¼Gäós public demeanor and determination have further solidified our already positive impressions of him.

+óGé¼+ôWe believe that there is a desperate need to change the direction and focus of our nation, and we are convinced that Jim Webb is best equipped and prepared to do so as a member of the United States Senate representing Virginia.  Most importantly, we know that Jim Webb can win these critically important elections in June and November.+óGé¼-¥

Very nice.  Thanks to Sheriff Holt, County Clerk McGraw, and Commissioner Horn!
