My advice to Harris Miller and PAID cronies

Short and sweet, but here you go; and again, please, this is for your benefit, it may sound sarcastic, but that is pretty much me, as most of you all know.
1.  Get out of here.  And that is not a statement made bc I do not respect you, or your views, or the fact that you are working hard to get a Democratic member in the Senate to take the place of George Allen, whom we can all agree, is a complete waste of political space and time.

What I mean is this:  you are over here, trying to convince people that are ADAMENTLY supporting James Webb, to vote for Harris Miller and I strongly feel that none of us plan on changing our minds.  What would be a better use of your time, you ask?  Maybe updating Miller's own blog, or maybe starting your own popular blog and spreading POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT HARRIS MILLER AND WHY PEOPLE SHOULD VOTE FOR HIM, instead of trashing James Webb in his own cyber backyard.

2.  Get other people to post and provide support that aren't paid staffers.  Do you all make a habit of believing ads about something you don't know much about, even if the only people giving "testimonies" are being paid money by the creator of the product?  And then, do you go off and buy the product in bulk, bc some actor stated how wonderful the thing is?  Seriously, you guys have GOT to start showcasing the fact that you have some Miller FANS.  I have not met one person, NOT ONE, who believes strongly in Miller unless they are getting a check from him, or they hope to at some point; and frankly, it is very disconcerting.  WE'RE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, REMEMBER?

3.  Trashing Webb does not make Miller look better, it only makes people who may be slightly leaning towards Miller skip the primary.  Remember how in high school, there was always that rude, snide, conniving, selfish person, that always made fun of other people? (And NO, that is not calling Miller any of those things, before you froth at the mouth; it is merely an example)  Well, did that person ever look good, regardless of their beauty?  Not really, bc their soul sucked.

Now really, this may surprise you, but I have nothing against Miller, I really don't.  i am not supporting him, I don't agree with him on issues, and I think he is definitely not ready to be a senator, but hey; its ok to disagree.  I just think for all of the money he is spending on paying you guys, well, he isn't getting anything out of it, from what I can tell.

Miller should get out (Josh - 4/27/2006 3:12:25 PM)
But the way to show Mr. Miller the door really depends on us and on Jim Webb.

Jim Webb needs to extend the olive branch and show Mr. Miller some respect.  We need to take the tone down and show our support and thanks to Mr. Miller for doing a good job.

I think that none of this is going to happen, that Miller will stay in, and that Jim Webb will blow him out of the water in the Primary.

I hope that all of this yields a stronger Webb campaign and a stronger more galvanized party to support him against George Allen.

I agree... (phriendlyjaime - 4/27/2006 3:23:22 PM)
which is why I tried to explain this to the staff.  I just think that coming here with anger isn't getting them anywhere.

Jim has not extended the olive branch, but he has always shown respect for his opponent. If there is any reason for Jim's supporters to show support and thanks to the opponent, they should.  But there isn't....

Great Points n/t (Alicia - 4/28/2006 12:16:26 AM)

And (Alicia - 4/28/2006 12:18:31 AM)
their anger has made it very difficult to want to support or thank Miller at all.  Somehow a line was drawn in the sand - for me at least.

Miller trashes people with whom he disagrees... (Info_Tech_Guy - 4/28/2006 8:16:05 AM)
In the years that Miller has worked as a highly paid operative of the "Tech Lobby" (really, the "outsourcing IT Jobs Lobby"), Miller has always been belligerent and a sleaze.

Miller has lied about his objectives, slandered American information technology workers, produced phony "studies", distorted facts and generally proven himself completely lacking in ethics and character.

Miller has shown the same despicable traits in this political contest. Trashing James Webb does nothing at all to conceal the basic lack of integrity and dishonesty evident in Harris Miller. It's just a continuation of the SOS that Miller and his ITAA/CompeteAmerica/business outsourcing allies have done to working Americans for years...

I don't expect "classy" behavior from Miller. Money, like a good suit and a silk tie, does nothing for Harris. He has no integrity just alot of ambitions and a willingness to destroy anyone who interferes with his plans. Once people get their measure of Miller, they aren't impressed.
