If you're interested in a) drinking wine; b) eating salmon (and other great food); c) listening to professional jazz musicians; and d) meeting Jim Webb, here's your chance!  It's a big reception/fundraiser being held at the house of two former Clark friends of mine in North Arlington on Sunday May 21, from 2 to 4 PM.

Jim Webb plans to be there for at least 1 1/2 hours, and rumors have it that he'll be signing copies of "Born Fighting" and giving a short speech to the crowd.  The point is to meet Jim Webb, have a great time, and also to raise as much money as possible for the Webb campaign.  It should be a great party.

If you're interested, please contact me at lowell@raisingkaine.com (I'm helping the organizers put this thing together).  We're looking at minimum donations of $100, although $250 or more would be even better! :)  Also, the hosts have told me that they can accomodate 10 or so college students who'd like to experience the campaign first-hand for the special, "poor starving student" price of $25.  Again, please contact me at lowell@raisingkaine.com.

Thanks.

sounds like a lot of fun - (Kathy Gerber - 4/26/2006 10:15:05 AM)
I want to go, don't know if it's possible, but it does sound like fun doesn't it?

5th district convention is the day before.

And my house is such a chaotic mess, and the weeds are tall.

Just saying, thinking about it down here..

I hope you can make it! (Lowell - 4/26/2006 10:16:49 AM)
It will be fun, and a great chance to meet Jim - plus lots of his supporters - in an informal setting.
