Revolt of the Honor Bound: Duty, Honor, Country NOT Served by Iraq War

The television news caught my attention last night as several generals all went public in denouncing the Defense Secretatry Rumsfeld, the conduct of the Iraq War and the policy objectives alleged to be advanced by this conflict.

It seems clear to me that this has considerable significance on many levels and I'm sure that readers of RK have followed the details at least as closely as I have. I'll point to this rather interesting blog entry at "The Mighty Middle" http://www.mightymiddle.com/index.php?/archives/866-General-Revolt.html#extended and move on to the relevance in the present Webb v. Miller match-up
1) Miller has no integrity on the Iraq war issue. He's a follower who made the mistake of saying me too for a stupid, unjustified, and costly  imperial war which has badly erroded the U.S. military.

2) The presence of these military officers stepping forward once more draws attention to James Webb's far-sighted policy criticisms of going to war in Iraq. These men are James Webb's former comrades in arms. Zinni is among them and we know who he has endorsed.

3) The perceived deterioration of the Iraq war/occupation/counter-insurgency campaign is sure to raise the importance of this issue among Virginia voters.
