"F***in' A," Maryscott, "F***in[ A!!!"

I don't normally use profanity on this blog, and I don't plan to make a habit of it in the future. However, I make an exception today to congratulate my Daily Kos and SoapBlox colleague Maryscott "Expletive Deleted" O'Connor on the feature story about her in today's Washington Post.

I know it's early in the morning, Maryscott, but as you would say, "WAKE THE [expletive] UP!"  I mean, c'mon, there must be SOME other outrage to be, well, outraged about today.  How about Don Rumsfeld getting a "robust" defense by President "Sociopath"/"Antichrist" Bush (aka, the Evil One?).  How about the Cheney's getting a tax refund of $2 million this year? How about walrus  calves swimming around crying as they drown due to global warming?  Hell, I feel a profanity-laced tirade coming on myself!  Maybe your balls-to-the-wall style is catchy?  Actually, as much as I admire you, Maryscott, I kind of hope not.  Frankly, I don't know how I'd be able to channel so much rage every day without going into catatonic shock or something.

On the other hand, how the bloody HELL can the majority of Americans NOT be @#^@*&@!! outraged at what's being done to their freedoms, their future, their country, their environment, and their world by the Bush Administration, right-wing Congress, and the @!$#%^! Democratic enablers with no balls or spine in Washington DC.

Hey, am I starting to sound just the tiniest bit like you, Maryscott?  Was the first sentence in this paragraph completely run-on and over the top?  Please, teach me to channel my rage into effective prose, so I too can someday, somehow, ascend to the ranks of "Online and Outraged." Thank you, Maryscott.  And, once again, congratulations. Or, more appropriately, "Fuckin' A!!!!"

Okay, here's some outrage for the morning.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060415/ap_on_go_ot/lobbyist_probe;_ylt=AqxqD_g1TJLzmN8s51pym7is0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTA3OXIzMDMzBHNlYwM3MDM-

This is an AP story linking Abramoff with David Safavian.
Northern Va. congressman Tom Davis employs Safavian's wife on his committee AS AN INVESTIGATOR.  He's defended her and said attacking her is stooping low.  Now tell me, those of you who are married.  Don't you and your spouse know just about everything about each other?  How could she not know about her hubby's corruption?  Maybe that's why Davis' government reform committee spends its time on things like steroids in baseball instead of real issues.

Tom Davis has to go (Lowell - 4/15/2006 11:07:28 AM)
He's part of the "culture of corruption" problem, not the solution.  It's time for his strongly Democratic district to do what voters in Montgomery County did to "liberal Republican" Connie Morella a few years ago.  Namely, they need to say, "thanks for your service Tom, you're a great guy but it's time for something different, something better!"

Hey, did I just steal one of the Democratic candidate's slogans?  Sorry Andy! :)

Tax Cuts... for the *wink* poor... riiiiiight.. (Josh - 4/15/2006 11:59:00 AM)
The day after it was reported that Bush made almost $800K and Cheney $8.8Million last year, in his radio address, Bush called again to make his regressive tax cuts permanent.

It's for the poor, folks.  Really... poor people won't acutally save any money, but Dick Cheney will get $2M refund and that's good for the poor.  why?

Hey, look, over there.  There's something shiny.

Ohh, we're also doing great in Iraq, and any leakers will be severely compensated within the limits of the law.

Stay the course.

I am not a crook, I will sincerely compensate any and all leakers of information with tax cuts.  This will not be tolerated in my administration.

Weelll... look at the time.  Scott McClellan will "answer" any other questions you might have.

Davis and the culture of corruption (Rebecca - 4/15/2006 5:00:57 PM)
Davis is also a danger to national security (in addition to fraternizing with crooks). He is the number one person on the hit list of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (James Risen, Russell Tice, etc.). These are folks who have lost their jobs for talking about the corruption within the NSA.

They would love to see us knock off Davis and I'm sure they will contribute to the campaign of anyone running against him. I had a conversation with Sibel Edmonds recently in which she said many high ranking people in the military and civilian agencies have written letters to Davis pleading with him to protect the NS Whistleblowers, to no avail. All other Gov whistleblowers are protected, however.

At http://www.dfa-fairfax.com I will publish an article next week written by one of the members of the NS Whistleblowers Coalition which will detail all the ways Tom Davis is a danger to our national security.
