James "Born Fighting" Webb isn't a "Fighting Dem"???

I was looking over the Democratic Party "Fighting Dems" site today and wondered why James Webb's name isn't on the site.

Here's the link to the main site:
http://www.democrats.org/page/content/fightingdems/index/

The page which lists Fighting Dems still in the primary stage who have are not yet official nominees is here"

http://www.democrats.org/page/content/fightingdems/candidates/

As you will see, James Webb's name IS NOT listed.

Some correction would seem to be in order here...
I note that the candidates in one Virginia house race are listed:

VA-5: Al Weed
Bern Ewert

I wonder why James Webb's name isn't listed?

Based on the list, I would assume that he would be the only "Fighting Dem" running for the U.S. Senate. Isn't that something to be proud of?

I agree that they should find a place for Jim on that list (DemTilDeath - 4/11/2006 8:00:13 PM)
Perhaps they need to put up a separate heading for Senate candidates, as this list is only House candidates.  I think we definitely need to let them know we think this should happen.

Webb has been repeatedly called the Democrats' "newest Fighting Dem."  Maybe the Democratic Party needs to listen to listen to "The Majority Report" more often.

"Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy, Co-Chair"...

Answer your question?

Claudia Kennedy has dishonored herself (Info_Tech_Guy - 4/12/2006 2:43:50 PM)
I noticed that too.

In light of Claudi Kennedy's role with "Fighting Dems", should she have "recused" herself from endorsing anyone?

I wonder what other "Fighting Dems" think of Claudia Kennedy now? She has bayoneted one of their own.

By attacking Jim Webb, Kennedy failed to live up to her previous obligations. Another reason to think of her as a less than honorable person.

I think that she should resign her position with Fighting Dems. There is clearly a conflict of interest which casts a shodow over the Fighting Dems program.

For my part, I think that Jim Webb could actually help many other Fighting Dems to WIN elections. Look at Webb's background and integrity. What candidate would not benefit from Jim Webb's endorsement or presence in their district? (What would Mr. Webb's done in the Cinci. OH house race that Hackett narrowly lost?) Almost immediately, I can see synergy between his views and background and Eric Massa (see http://www.massaforcongress.com/ and http://eric-massa.mydd.com/"

Webb is a highly decorated combat veteran whose honor is beyond reproach. His knowledge of military policy and foreign policy is impressive. This man could be another Sam Nunn for the Democratic Party.

Someone at the DNC is not paying close enough attention to Claudia Kennedy's antics or is far too tolerant of behaviour clearly biased toward Harris Miller and away from a true "Fighting Democrat".
