Virginia is For Lovers (Of Mark Warner)

First off, I'd like to thank Lowell for the oppurtunity to write for Raising Kaine. My name is Kenton Ngo, and I blog over at 750 Volts. I'm currently a student in Fairfax County. Hello world!

With that out of the way, Virginians Love Mark Warner!

While Jerry Kilgore and the Republican Right-Wing Taliban were screaming and hollering that sound fiscal policy was sending us into a morass of budgetary solvency, they convieniently ignored that Virginians appreciate fiscal sanity.

And, apparently, even Virginia Republicans, a full 44% of them, appreciate fiscal sanity, as opposed to 43% of them for, oh, I don't know, bankruptcy.

Warner's approval ratings beat his disapproval ratings in nearly every category, including Republicans! Maybe this is why Jerry Kilgore, when not imagining accent kerfluffles, says "I'm more like Mark Warner than Tim Kaine will ever be."

Give me four more years (of being the best-governed state in the nation)!

The sample size for (Kenton - 4/4/2006 11:26:33 PM)
The sample size for the Hispanic crosstab was ridiculously small-24 respondents! The statistical integrity of the numbers are doubtful.

Kaine has longstandi (Sam Penney - 4/4/2006 11:26:33 PM)
Kaine has longstanding ties to the Hispanic community and he will be able to connect with them and win them over.  I agree, though, that he needs to get on with it.

I agree with Adam: (Maria - 4/4/2006 11:26:33 PM)
I agree with Adam:  why aren't we concerned about that?  Why have I not seen a single flyer, brochure, add, link in Spanish (other than the small 'Hispanos con Kaine')?  Why hasn't Kaine scheduled interviews with the many Spanish papers in NoVa? Wake up, people... as we speak Jerry Kilgore is working hard to translate his campaign literature into Spanish.

Lowell, Good choice for a new blogger!

Kenton, Any indic (Adam Sharp - 4/4/2006 11:26:33 PM)
Kenton,

Any indication on why Hispanics do not approve of Mark Warner?  And, considering the inexorable march of the demographics, why aren't we concerned about that?
