This is Hilarious

This account of the Harris Miller bloggers' conference call this afternoon is hilarious.  I loved these two paragraphs in particular:

By ?some bloggers,? I mean me, Alice Marshall, Ben Tribbett (who has a higher pitched voice than I thought he would), and some guy from LA named ?Howie.? Sorry, dude, I only caught your first name.

Oddly enough, Lowell Feld was not in attendance. Whodathunk?

Oh, and also:

But I digress. The most?no, the BEST moment of the entire conference call was the Ben Tribbett-Harris Miller incident. Harris, you will note, has the same last name as my favorite violent politician, Zell Miller.

Ben wanted Miller to comment or at least explain that whole negative push-polling thing. You can read about that on Ben' blog. Miller, however, got all flustered and said:

?I don?t know what poll you?re referring to.?

Ben explained.

Miller is silent for a second. I?m a mind reader, so I know what he was thinking. ?Um? oh, shit, um, Dammnit! Why isn?t the communications director screening these nut jobs?must come up with something neutral?ahah!?

?I?m not going to talk about our internal strategy? All I know is we?re focusing on getting out message out to the voters.?

He also said something about Joe Gibbs not telling his football strategy to everyone.

Ha ha ha ha ha.  Unbelievable.

Oh, by the way, for more on what Ben was asking about, click here.  What on earth is going on with this story, anyway?  My first guess was that it had to be George Allen doing the "push poll," but why won't Miller just say that he wasn't doing any polling?  Weird...

P.S.  By the way, where were all the Virginia Democratic bloggers and why weren't they on this call?  Waldo?  Paul?  Kenton?  Brian?  Josh?  Shaula?  Perseverando?  Howling Latina? Virginia Belle? Etc., etc?

P.P.S  I wasn't on the call because, frankly, why would I be?  I already know everything I need to know about Harris Miller, and fully (e.g., 99.9999%) expect Jim Webb to be the Democratic nominee for US Senate this year.  As does George Stephanopolous, apparently.  End of story.
