Republicans Declare War on Kaine

The Republican controlled Virginia House of Delegates has declared war on Tim Kaine and on the people of Virginia.  Can it be any more clear after what they did yesterday, voting down the Governor's nomination of Daniel G. LeBlanc to be Secretary of the Commonwealth - simply because they disagree with LeBlanc on labor issues?  As Too Conservative - my favorite Republican blog by far (best written, most interesting, you name it), and one that has now been added to the Raising Kaine blogroll - points out, Republicans in this case are complete hypocrites.  Vincent writes, "While I do not believe that their can be any doubt that LeBlanc was far left, I have always, and will always support the elected representatives right to chose nominees."

Meanwhile, Governor Kaine has this to say:

They have taken a huge leap, way past any degree of partisanship that's ever been shown in this commonwealth, and they have decided that Washington-style, McCarthy-style politics is what they want to practice here in the House of Delegates.  And they are going to regret it.

In other words, it's war.  And it was declared by the Republicans.  Don't forget that when the next General Assembly elections come around; we need to boot these ridiculous, radical, raving Republicans right on out of there.  Either that, or we can look forward to more warfare, more gridlock, and more hypocrisy.  No thanks.  We CAN do better!  Vote Democratic.
