Warner and Allen - The Oddest Couple

What a story it has to tell Virginia Voters.

Thats a difference in "composite conservative" score of 26.0.  Within the same state, and within the same party, that's the highest difference. 

To give you an idea of where on the spectrum our Senators fall.  John McCain stands adjacent to John Warner, in the National Journal's evaluation, while George Allen was only narrowly edged out by the likes of Georgia's Saxby Chambliss and Mississippi's Trent Lott.

Congressional Noteworthies:

 
• We're #1:  Virginia tied Mississippi, Georgia and Idaho to score the most conservative congressional delegation in the country.

 
• The Virginia "Fringe" Award:  Congresswoman Thelma Drake voted more conservatively than 92.8% of the US House in 2005, ranking her as the 11th most conservative member.
