This is definitely worth watching.  Please see the rest of the interview, including a discussion of "clean coal" (Gore calls it an "illusion") and global warming ("the evidence is unequivocal"), after the "flip."

"More thoughtful speeches (Teddy - 11/23/2008 8:37:31 PM)
like the 30-minute Obama ad just before the election," is Gore's thoughtful suggestion to the thoughtful President-elect, because people are listening now, and actually downloading the good speeches in the original. Once they've heard the usual five-second sound bites and the snarky comments from the right wing attacking the speech, apparently folks have learned to go to the source, and draw their own conclusions. That's why RaisingKaine has been so valuable: we get the original information already selected and downloaded for us.

How refreshing to hear an expert reporter like Fareed do an interview, asking probing questions and then letting the respondent give a clear answer without interrupting or playing "gotcha." Gore gave such a coherent and calm response, even when Fareed trod gingerly on eggshells over the 2000 election fiasco, that one wonders: is there a place for Gore somewhere in an Obama administration, dealing with environment and climate change---- despite a reluctance on Gore's part? What does the progressive community think of that?
