Who the hell are you? Get off my blog, liberal.

So began the relationship of a new blog, 'Cavalcade of Conflictedness', with me as I commented on Sadie Love's blog (her real name?) today. I was asking a question about how a well known fact like Virgil Goode taking illegal contributions from MZM, has become alleged, even though Goode himself has admitted it. And how someone could tell if George Soros' money was used in a political campaign (through Move-On I suppose).

Facts are not important, ideology is. The truth isn't important, the message of the party is. We had seen this non-stop on the campaign trail with John McCain and Sarah Palin.

This doesn't really bother me, but it is instructive into the brainwashing and groupthink that goes on in the Republican Party. After all, it is not that I am right, it is that I am a liberal.
And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is my sin, and it is the truth. In fact, I am way more liberal than anyone that lives around me.

By the way, Sadie? Thanks so much for the welcome to your blog. It has that smell of idiocy and desperation about it.

In fact, I will send all my friends over to welcome you as well.

Now THAT'S funny!! (Dave N. - 11/20/2008 5:11:29 PM)
Thanks for the new link for my comedy fix!

This is what I posted (Mark - 11/20/2008 5:19:43 PM)
after the moderation was turned on:

oooohhh, you are a really tough college student huh?

You yourself invited me by having this blog. Or is this only about the lies you can tell?

As for being a liberal, I am one. If that means we can not talk as adults here, then so be it.

Have a nice, deluded time here. And welcome to the blogosphere. It isn't all falafel and bean soup out here.

You need a thicker skin if you plan on being out here where the adults play.

And Phil? You would be good enough to prove your lies as well?

I'm still amazed that people use liberal as an insult. (Tiderion - 11/21/2008 9:55:40 AM)
I'd like back elitist and educated as well. I mean, when did having correct information become bad? I can understand elitism being bad but if politicians really were the best of us then our proud history would continue rather than woefully drop into oblivion. Seems to me that you can be common and elite at the same time (ie Lincoln).

Either way, this was a comical post and I enjoyed every word.

When facts are not on your side, feelings and fear are substituted. (stpickrell - 11/21/2008 12:54:46 PM)
Witness the Callaghan campaign of 1979, the Hoover campaign of 1932, the Carter campaign of 1980, and the McCain campaign of 2008. All four were centered on, 'Well my party's not doing well, but WE CAN'T ELECT THE OTHER PARTY! WE JUST CAN'T!'

MZM contributions are of more interest to political junkies than most people.

I suspect the Eden's Curve story and the general asshatry of Goode (I mean how does a Republican not get an endorsement from the Times-Disgrace?) Granted, MZM was part of Goode's asshatry but if MZM was the worst thing on his record, he'd have won 57-43.

as for Sadie (stpickrell - 11/21/2008 12:57:30 PM)
she wants a circlejerk (figuratively speaking). Your post wasn't snide (granted your response to 'Get off my blog, liberal' was snarky, but she more than earned it.)

If this blog is new it will be abandoned in under six months or go non-political (akin to that den Beste guy a few years ago) in that timeframe. Hell, I can't even keep my blog going.

I thought this was hilarious (aznew - 11/21/2008 10:38:02 PM)
Get off my blog, liberal!

LOL that is funny (Shawn - 11/25/2008 7:57:29 PM)
Sadie's got the brain and writing skills to graduate from Liberty U's Law School in hopes of a job in a future GOP administration ... she seems like yet another example of someone able to "memorize and regurgitate" radical right wing talking points ... just like Eric Cantor
