The AP just called North Carolina for Obama after canvassing the state and determining that there are not enough provisional ballots to overtake Obama's lead. Turning Virginia blue sure felt good, but seeing North Carolina go blue makes a major statement. Rationalizations by Republicans about how Virginia turned blue only because NoVa is nothing more than suburban D.C. just won't fly in North Carolina, now will they?
