As one who tried to make it... (Lowell - 11/4/2008 5:53:39 AM)
...but was stuck in traffic for hours, then finally got there and was told there was no parking, I can definitively say that there were tens of thousands more people who wanted to be there but never made it.  Myself included.

You are here. (Pain - 11/4/2008 9:41:38 AM)

I was up about 50 yards away from the Vote for Change sign.  I parked in the Wellington Station shopping center just under a mile from the fair grounds, and I got one of the few spaces left at around 7pm.  When I left to walk back to the car, there were cars parked as far as the eye could see in every single available free space, including grass, enbankments, curbs, sidewalks, and literally almost on top of other cars.

When Obama finally came on stage around 10:30pm [he got stuck in traffic, go figure] the energy was out of control.

Very much worth being there, and I wish everyone who wanted to go could have gotten there too.  Can't wait to see some of the pictures from the news choppers flying around.
