Take a Child to Vote Day

From Change to Win:

Dear Friend,

We're grateful for all your help this election year, but now we need your kids to get involved too.

With long lines guaranteed at precincts across the Commonwealth on Tuesday, we need to keep people from leaving the polls before they vote. It's critical that we remind people why it's so important to stay and cast a ballot.

What we plan to do is send parents with their children to key precincts around Virginia at 5 p.m., to provide a living, breathing reminder why staying to vote is so important.

As our adorable model demonstrates, we'll outfit each child with a tee-shirt that reads "THANK YOU for waiting in line FOR ME!"

Every volunteer parent will receive a kit that includes one or two tee-shirts and a box of snacks to distribute to waiting voters.

If you and your kid(s) are available for two hours on Election Day to help us protect the vote, please contact our state director at: colin.bishopp@changetowin.org. In your email, please include your cell number and the city or county where you live. We'll make sure you end up at a critically important polling place that is convenient for you.

Thanks, and don't forget to vote!

Sincerely,
Change to Win VA

P.S. We could lose thousands of votes on Election Day if people choose not to wait in line. We need your family to help! Please email Colin Bishopp to get a tee-shirt and a targeted precinct where you can make a difference: colin.bishopp@changetowin.org. Please remember to include your cell number and the city or county where you live.
