Today's Roanoke Times endorses Tom Perriello in the 5th CD and Sam Rasoul in the 6th CD.

Regarding the 5th, the Roanoke Times says that Virgil Goode "gives conservatism a bad name." I couldn't agree more. In contrast, Tom Perriello is "an intelligent, articulate, caring individual who has done important work in Afghanistan and Darfur." This one's a no-brainer, frankly.

As to the 6th, this one's a huge longshot, the Roanoke Times writes, "after 16 years of Goodlatte's support for a discredited conservative ideology, Rasoul's fresh, principled campaign provides sufficient reason for voters to seriously consider taking that step."  What the heck, give it a shot - Rasoul's GOT to be better than Goodlatte!
