Bill Day: "It was an easy decision for me to enter the race."

Over at Fred2Blue I talked to Bill Day, the Democrat taking on freshman Rep. Rob Wittman. As far as "Bush rubberstamps" go, Wittman makes your typical House Republican look downright progressive.

Here's what Bill had to say about getting into the race late, after Keith Hummel abruptly ended his campaign last summer:

It was an easy decision for me to enter the race. At the time, we had twelve Democratic campaign offices already operating in the 1st District, and they only needed a Congressional candidate to campaign for; we now have nineteen fully staffed offices. I may have only started in August, but the Democratic Party had been working for months here in the 1st.
