Canvass with Governor Tim Kaine On Saturday Afternoon
Gov. Tim Kaine, a national Obama-Biden campaign co-chair, will headline a canvass kickoff Saturday at the Woodbridge Campaign for Change office. With less than two weeks before Election Day, thousands of Virginians working for change will go door-to-door from now until November 4 to urge their neighbors to vote for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama for president. The Obama campaign is ramping up its Get Out the Vote efforts this week with rallies, phone banks and canvasses taking place across the commonwealth.
At the kickoff, Kaine will lay out the choice in this election: John McCain and four more years of the same failed policies of the last eight versus Obama and tax relief for the middle class, affordable, accessible health care for all Virginians and a plan to bring a responsible end to the Iraq war.
