REMINDER: Andy Hurst Kickoff Tonight

REMINDER: Tonight is the campaign kickoff for Andrew Hurst, Democratic candidate for the 11th congressional district of Virginia.  That's the district of Tom Davis, phony "moderate" (hint: he's not!), beneficiary of Jack Abramoff's dirty money, and recent recipient of a major butt-kicking by our own Teddy Goodson

Well, don't look back Mr. Davis, because somebody may be gaining on you.  That somebody is named Andrew "Andy" Hurst, and this Thursday, starting at 7 PM in Falls Church, it's show time!  At 8 PM, Hurst will kick off his campaign in front of 200 people, and Davis' ears might start burning a bit as his name is bandied about in ways he probably won't enjoy hearing.

How about the following themes for starters: "campaign finance, ethics, and the ways in which these issues undermine government's ability to address everyday issues like transportation, education and health care?"  Do those sound good to you, Mr. Davis?  How about the fact that this event  "will likely be the largest kick off event for a Democratic candidate in the history of the 11th district," according to Hurst's talented young campaign manager, James Walkinshaw?  Or how about the fact that "Mr. Hurst has raised nearly $70,000 to date, signed up over 100 volunteers, and already begun to maintain a presence in all corners of the 11th Congressional District?"  Finally, how about the fact that this district (Fairfax, Prince William) is now Tim Kaine /"blue" territory BIG TIME?  Does all this give you a warm and fuzzy feeling, Mr. Davis?  If so, I have some land over near the Vienna Metro station that I'd like to sell you!  Ha ha.

Anyway, I urge everyone who thinks Tom Davis has to go, who thinks that it's time for "something better, something new," and who believes that we need leaders with "energy and vision to reform Washington" to attend Andy Hurst's kickoff event.  It will be held right near the intersection of the Beltway and Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard).  Be there, or be...stuck with Tom Davis and his right-wing record (not to mention the Republican "culture of corruption") for another 2 years.  Let's give Tom Davis a run for his money - emphasis on MONEY, in his case!  Thanks.
