What do Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, and George Allen have in common?  They all believe there's not just one America, but a country divided into "real America" and...what, "unreal America?" They all believe there's not just one red, white and blue America, but an America divided into "pro-America" areas and other places where people are apparently anti-America.  And, very shortly, they're all going to be on the losing ends of elections in which Americans of all stripes tell them to take a hike!

P.S. Bachmann and Allen videos after the "flip."

Some more to add to the list... (Dave N. - 10/21/2008 3:24:01 PM)
Rep. Robin Hayes (R-NC)

from Politico:

Rep. Robin Hayes (R-N.C.) has conceded that he did tell a North Carolina crowd that "liberals hate real Americans that work and accomplish and achieve and believe in God," even though he initially denied making such a statement.

And Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC):

from the same Politico story:

Hayes had followed Rep. Patrick McHenry, also a North Carolina Republican, who laid out the choice between McCain and Obama.

"It's like black and white," yelled someone from the crowd.

Bachmann in more trouble... (Eric - 10/21/2008 3:30:00 PM)
as her primary opponent, Aubrey Immelman, decides he's had enough and will jump into the race at the last minute as a write-in candidate.   Write-ins don't usually pull much of the vote, but this will provide sane Republicans an option and I seriously doubt he'll take much from Tinklenberg.  In a close race something like a last minute write-in campaign could make a difference.

We need to get both Bachmann and Palin to a joint press conference right away.  Only more media contact could save their campaigns.  :-)

You've gotta feel sorry for Bachmann, et al (Ron1 - 10/21/2008 3:54:59 PM)
They are apparently having flashbacks to the salad days of 2001-2003 when any disagreement on any policy that didn't do exactly what President Bush wanted was labeled as treasonous or sedition.

I'm reminded of the quote by good 'ole Tom Davis, the coward who isn't running for re-election because his constituents would've voted him out had he chosen to stand on his record, back in 2002:

Meanwhile, Rep. Thomas Davis, R-Va., head of the Republican House Campaign Committee, claimed Daschle's "divisive comments have the effect of giving aid and comfort to our enemies by allowing them to exploit divisions in our country."

Un-American, "Aid and Comfort to the Enemy", it's all the same McCarthyite demagoguery, the last haven of scoundrels.

"Two of a kind" - very funny, very true! (Lowell - 10/21/2008 7:46:53 PM)
