"Joe the Plumber" Admits: He'd Get a Tax Cut Under President Obama!

Meanwhile, Sarah Barracuda says she doesn't "particularly want to discuss Joe the Plumber," and in fact "begged our speech writers, 'Don't make me say Joe the Plumber, please, in any speeches.'" You can't make this stuff up...

P.S. Of course, "Joe the Plumber" may not even be a plumber, and he "owes the state of Ohio $1,182.98 in personal income tax," with an active lien on his property "until he pays the debt."  THIS is the guy that John McCain wants to make the centerpiece of his campaign for president? Well, alrighty then...

How much longer is JTP's 15 minutes? (TurboAlto - 10/17/2008 1:00:13 PM)
I'm already sooooo sick of Joe the Plumber.  He is ranking right up there with Cato Calin...

Agreed. (Lowell - 10/17/2008 1:02:48 PM)
"Joe the Plumber" never should have gotten 1 minute of fame. Only the idiotic, "no depth too low," infotainment industry could possibly decide to put this guy on national TV, right after the McCain-Obama debate, etc.  Ugh.

Yeah, but (Pain - 10/17/2008 1:13:54 PM)

It was McFoamy and the conservative talk shows who decided to use the guy as a prop, and while I feel a little sorry for the guy, now that he's part of the story then we need to know the whole story.  And, it seems the whole story is about as bad as Sarah...except Sammy-Joe can actually string words together and construct a sentence when asked an off the cuff question, unlike you know who.

And to my mild sympathy for the guy getting thrust into the spotlight, he should have figured it out when he walked into a media frenzy and started breaking all bad with Barack and asking questions about his tax-and-spend self.

Is this guy STILL around? (Jim White - 10/17/2008 8:39:22 PM)
