Letterman: McCain Not Embarrassed by Terrorist "Old Friend"

Why did it take a jilted David Letterman to bring up legitimate questions about John Sidney McCain III's ties to domestic terrorist and convicted felon G. Gordon Liddy?  Where is the media on this important question?  (Naturally, compliantly obsessed with eight year old Barack Obama's "ties" to "worshed up" William Ayers.)

Take a close look at 1:14 of the video above.

Finally facing this long overdue question, McCain visibly recoils, then stammers "uh, uh, I met him."  In fact, McCain did a lot more than just "meet" G. Gordon Liddy.

--McCain attended a fundraiser at G. Gordon Liddy's house.

--McCain received at least $5000 in campaign contributions from G. Gordon Liddy personally, including $1000 in 2008.

--McCain appeared on G. Gordon Liddy's radio show during this Presidential campaign.

--In a 2008 appearance on the radio show, McCain called G. Gordon Liddy "an old friend."

--McCain told G. Gordon Liddy

I'm proud of you, I'm proud of your family. It's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon, and congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great.

McCain attempts to excuse his longtime relationship with G. Gordon Liddy, saying that Liddy "went to prison, he paid his debt."  (No, he didn't, but we'll explore that more later.)

McCain attempts to excuse his running mate Sarah Palin's outrageous smear against eight year old Barack Obama, saying that "There's millions of words said in a campaign."

Maybe John Sidney McCain III could spare us just a few of those words to explain his very real ties to his convicted domestic terrorist "old friend" G. Gordon Liddy.

While he's at it, maybe he can tell us ....

Who is the REAL John McCain?!
