No Castrations in Virginia This Year

Don't ever let anyone tell you that Virginia is not a Progressive state.  As the latest evidence, it turns out that we're not going to start castrating people this year.  Yes, thanks again to Sen. Hanger (R-Augusta) for realizing that his testicle removal bill was "not ready for prime time."  Among other things, critics point out that castration "would not necessarily reduce violent urges."  Which is the whole point, right?  In other words, this issue needs more study and scientific evidence before we start forming Vienna boys choirs all over Virginia.

Which brings us to our slogan of the day:  "No castration without quantification." Or sufficient documentation.  Because, unless there's evidence that castration actually accomplishes anything, it's simply an abomination.
