McCain: Jeff Frederick's Hateful Smears Are No Big Deal Because He's "somebody no one knows"

Well, well, ain't this just grand?

McCain added, "I am proud of our campaign. I am proud of the campaign I have done, so Jimmy, you're off base when you compare the two statements. One from a most respected member of Congress and civil rights leader and one from somebody no one knows about which we have repudiated continuously."

When pressed by the host, McCain grew testy. "Don't compare the two my friend...I am telling you, my friend, they are not comparable."

You can listen to McCain's response at http://www.wrva.com/cc-common/... The remarks about Frederick come about 5 minutes into the interview.

Personally, what I'm most shocked about is that John McCain became "testy." I mean, can you BELIEVE it?!?  John McCain, that level-headed, cool cucumber morphed into an erratic hothead? What's the world coming to?!?  ***snark***

Oh, by the way Sen. McCain, despite your assertion that Jeff Frederick is "somebody no one knows," here in Virginia we know him very well. If you'd like, I'd be happy to sit down with you and fill you in.  Or, better yet, contact the Prince William Democratic Committee, they know Frederick all too well.

UPDATE: I spaced and didn't notice that Miles had already posted on this one.  See his diary here. Thanks, and sorry for the double post (although any excuse to use that photo of Frederick! LOL).

Frederick is getting pantsed by the biggest bully on the schoolyard... John McCain.

What a pitiful example of the adherents of Social Darwinism fulfilling their own worldview.

Her father-in-law was beat by a nobody.

Webb on Frederick (jsrutstein - 10/14/2008 6:23:17 PM)
Jim Webb just said on David Gregory's show on MSNBC that Frederick's comments will cause people to gravitate to Obama, because Obama's reaction to those sorts of comments show he has the temperament and judgment people want in a President.  He went on to say that McCain lacks that kind of judgment and gave as an example McCain's choice of Palin as his running mate.

Burr of NC declined to comment.

to not have to see that ugly mug plastered all over this webpage any more! Lowell, think about the children that read RK -- you'll be scarring them for life!

[More seriously, starting on/afer Nov. 5, we need to plan for how to get rid of Mr. Frederick from Virginia politics.]

Call it tough love (Pain - 10/15/2008 8:00:27 AM)

Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and "This One" needs plenty of it.  Show the light on him and watch his skin burn.

People know Frederick now... (GeoffreyVS - 10/14/2008 10:28:08 PM)
Keith Olbermann just mentioned him by name.
