P.S. Yesterday, Palin berated her own fans and immediately tried to claim they were against "the veterans." If nothing else, it's revealing of how these people's minds work - reflexively bring up "the troops" or "John McCain was a POW" no matter how completely unrelated to the subject at hand, how inappropriate, or how offensive such references might be. To paraphrase Dean Vernon Wormer from Animal House: Shameless AND stupid is no way to go through life!
