No, I'm not trying to sell some diet or exercise program.  However, it is time for you to get up off the couch and march yourself right into a campaign office near you.  If you live in NOVA, this email may be of interest to you.

VIRGINIA DEMOCRATS NEED YOUR HELP TO WIN

Victory 2005 Headquarters Now Open in Tyson?s Corner!

2005 is going to be an important year for Virginia. In November, all statewide offices will be up for election, including Governor, Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor.  We are going to need your help to win!

Democratic volunteers are reaching into our Northern Virginia cities, towns, neighborhoods and homes. We are on the phone, on the Internet and on the street talking to voters one on one.

Together, we can make sure that Tim Kaine and the rest of the Democrats get elected this November. Please consider volunteering just a few hours of your time.

?  Join our volunteer canvass on Saturday, May 7th at 10:00 AM.  or

?  Come phone bank with us on Sundays at 4:00 PM or Tuesdays/Thursdays at 6:00 PM.

?  If you are available during the day, we have lots of data entry and other projects as well.

Our Virginia Victory 2005 Headquarters is now open in Tyson?s Corner! We?re at:
1575 Anderson Rd. (at the intersection of 123 [Dolley Madison])
McLean, VA 22102

If you can help out, please email hallie.schneir@vavictory2005.org or call us at 703-720-2600.

Thanks!

Northern Virginia Coordinators ? VA Victory 2005

In my opinion, groups such as Va Victory 2004 and 2005 are crucial to victory.  I said it ages ago, here and here: Pooled resources let unknown candidates be competitive.  Just look at Ken Longmyer, who won almost 40% of the vote against Tom "I was a moderate over a decade ago" Davis in a race for Congress last year.  Ken had less than $75,000 to Davis's $2.1 million , but Ken was able to use the office space, computers, volunteers, phone lines, etc. of Virginia Victory 2004.  If his campaign had to cover all of those costs on their own, he wouldn't have had a prayer.

Our House of Delegates candidates, such as Dave Marsden, Greg Werkheiser, and Bruce Roemmelt will be even stronger if they can have a helping hand from Tim Kaine, Creigh Deeds, the winner of the June 14th primary for Lt. Governor, and, of course, you.
