With it's doctored photo of challenger Tom Perriello and it's underlying racist overtones, Virgil Goode (VA-05) has proven one incontrovertible fact; he will stoop to any low to retain his seat in Congress.

Just like George W. Bush and John McCain he will twist the truth beyond recognition, lie and play on baseless fears to distract voters from the real issues of the 5th Congressional District.

A truly decent man would run on a proven record of ideas, initiatives and results, but this is something Goode can not do. He hasn't had any original ideas, set no precedents and has produced no results in which the district has truly benefited.
Goode's main claim to any sort of fame; his attack against an American born Muslim elected in Minn. to the House of Representatives(Keith Ellison MN-05).http://clerk.house.gov/member_info/mem_contact_info.html?statdis=MN05

Explain to me how that attack helped Virginia or America?

In two previous debates, Goode could do no better than spew racist and bigoted rants, while his opponent laid out plans to improve the lives of 5th CD residents, Virginia and Americans. When faced with a televised debate, a debate set up months in advance, Goode cuts and runs. Why? To attend a fundraiser. Like a wild beast feeding on it's young, Goode throws his campaign manager, Tucker Watkins, under the bus when he is questioned about ducking the debate. I've met Tucker, he deserved better than that.

Tom Perriello on the other hand, has run a clean campaign, focused on issues, giving of his time to area charities and events and learning from residents about the concerns they face. His Tithing Initiative has his campaign volunteering more than 900 hours to nursing homes, Habitat for Humanity and veterans.

On character alone, Tom Perriello shows just what a Congressional Representative should be. The shining star with Perriello, he has a proven track record of results, both in the international arena and in domestic areas.

What Virgil is saying to Charlottesville is (oldsoldier - 10/14/2008 12:16:55 PM)
You "pointy-headed nabobs of negatism" just will never understand the real people I work so hard to represent because:

High Gas
High Diesel

are real problems and I really hope the media ignores the Tax deal I worked out with MSM or whatever the company was named that was supposed to come to my district because if they backed out, quit, or got convicted for other reasons and left the local taxpayers "holding the bag" to  pay for the loss.

Am I wrong?  What is the end result of Virgil's deal for the taxpayer, and if it is really bad, somebody tell Perketello (I love that Ad).
