McCain Agrees that Obama is a "Hooligan"

The Obama campaign's response to McCain-Palin's continuing "Tour de Hate '08," as I'm going to call it from now on:

It's now clear that John McCain would rather launch angry, personal attacks than talk about the economy or defend his risky bailout scheme that hands over billions in taxpayer dollars to the same irresponsible Wall Street banks and lenders that got us into this mess - a scheme that guarantees taxpayers will lose money.  While Barack Obama ensured that the rescue plan that passed Congress protects taxpayers and homeowners, John McCain's scheme has been panned by experts and observers from across the political spectrum," said Obama campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor.

I agree with Palin! (Pain - 10/9/2008 5:15:03 PM)

When will they ask her the questions, and will when she give the answers?!

WHAT Questions (Teddy - 10/9/2008 5:39:16 PM)
does the Governor think should be asked? Does she have in mind (I use the term loosely): "Obama, are you a hoodlum? Are you a Communist? Why are you a Communist? How can we stop the socialism of Pelosi and the liberal Democrats?" It is like listening to the child's mindless repeating of "Why?" "Why?" and there is no answer to such non-questions.

But I would like some reporter to ask Palin "Please tell me in twenty-five words or less, what IS the question you want the Main Stream Media to ask, and of whom do you want it asked? We promise to publish the question and the resulting answer."

McSame (KathyinBlacksburg - 10/9/2008 5:49:07 PM)
really loves to capitalize on this garbage.  And Palin just eats it up.  And she hasn't a clue how empty her statement is.

Questions?  I have questions: Does she even know who's been in charge all this time and who exactly has been in Congress for three decades?  Whose campaign manager is a lobbyist?  or who wrote the deregs enabling the Enron collapse and 2008 financial crisis?

Does she know anything that isn't scripted for her and committed to memory?

Here Are A Couple (norman swingvoter - 10/9/2008 7:38:40 PM)
As you know Todd was a longtime member of the Alaskan Independence Party and you gave a welcoming address to it this year. Do you personally agree with the AIP that the election to determine Alaska statehood was fraudulent and that the election should be held again with UN monitors? Do you agree with the founder of the AIP that Alaska should become an independent country?

Other Questions for Palin (Jim K. - 10/9/2008 9:15:46 PM)
Do you condemn your husband's recent membership in the Alaska Independence Party, whose founder damns America and the American flag?  Do you regret your recent address to this un-American group?

Gov. Palin: Chatty Cathy? (hereinva - 10/9/2008 5:54:14 PM)
A "talking" toy with a pull string: Chatty Cathy.

"Chatty Cathy's mechanism was truly innovative--it allowed the doll to say a phrase completely at random when the string was pulled."

Memory lane here

It's Fargo. (Roland the HTG - 10/9/2008 6:17:11 PM)
It's Fargo. It's freaking Fargo. Every time Palin talks, and especially when that angry dude was talking, I keep expecting someone to throw Steve Buscemi in a wood chipper.

Tour de Hate 08 (IBelieveInHenryHowell - 10/9/2008 6:35:53 PM)
Classic!

The party of personal "responsibility"?? (JPTERP - 10/9/2008 6:45:37 PM)
Remind me again -- who controlled Congress for 6 of the last 8 years?

Who was in charge of the White House and the Executive agencies overseeing the markets the past 8 years?

"I'm mad" guy needs to take a look in the f-cking mirror.

Also, I could have sworn... (Lowell - 10/9/2008 6:48:34 PM)
that John McCain supported the financial bailout plan, which many conservatives are unhappy about because it's "socialism." And now McCain's proposing the government directly buy up troubled mortgages in what amounts to a massive intervention in the private sector.  I'm not saying it's wrong, necessarily, but how come the "I'm maaaad" guy doesn't think THAT is "socialism?"  And what's with this "socialism" bogeyman anyway, didn't that go out of style when the Soviet Union collapsed? I thought it was all "the terrorists" that are out to get us nowadays.

Give a thought to what happens (Teddy - 10/9/2008 6:50:44 PM)
when it turns out that Diebold/Rove cannot jigger the machines enough, and the landslide causes Obama to win and McCain-Palin to lose. I recall that, a few months ago, the talk shows and right-wingers were wondering "what will the ghetto do when Obama loses?" implying of course there would be race riots and all good whities should arm themselves in preparation to protect their families and the American Way. Since it is by now understood that the right-wing telegraphs its punch by accusing their opposition of exactly what they are doing, or plan on doing themselves, I wonder...

I was actually thinking about this today (Pain - 10/9/2008 6:58:57 PM)

I really feel that everyone should be very careful in celebrating after the election, because I think there will be trouble.  I honestly feel we will see some murders.

It could get nasty. (Lowell - 10/9/2008 7:03:26 PM)
The bad guys aren't going to give up power happily...

Great, I'm ready for a good scrap (McGuffin - 10/9/2008 7:36:39 PM)
with these mindless wingnut orcs.

I think Toto has pulled back the curtain on the wizard, John McCain and Obama needs to throw a bucket of water on Palin so she'll melt!!

Definitely orcs (Lowell - 10/9/2008 7:43:27 PM)
Something like this?

After the election? (Teddy - 10/9/2008 7:11:12 PM)
I am concerned about before and during. I get the feeling someone has decided the American system has been degraded and weakened enough to introduce the violence necessary to establish final dictatorship. Remember, Bush has ordered that one of the combat brigades (I forget which one) upon its recent return from Iraq be assigned to a sort of riot control reserve---- which of course violates Posse Comitatus Act, but when has the law stayed the Decider's hand? Also, remember that Halliburton has been contracted to build "refugee camps" right here Stateside, ostensibly to handle hurricane refugees or a flood of starving refugee immigrants flooding across our border. They sound like concentration camps to me. I have to begin to wonder if there are plans afoot; the Republican leaders have said too often they cannot "afford" to "let" the Democrats win, and they all have that peculiar Republican smirk on their faces when they say that we are going to be sooo surprised when Obama does not win.

Palin (South County - 10/9/2008 7:23:26 PM)
I have no idea what she's talking about.  I know she's trying to cover up for her bad interivews by blaming the press, but her rambling in that clip is lame.  Its kind of like when you go home to your parents with a bad test grade and blame the teacher because you didn't do your homework.

Hooliganism (Ron1 - 10/9/2008 7:38:27 PM)
Uh, did Obama take in a European soccer match and get into a riot at some point back in July/August when he was on his foreign policy tour? 'Cause I don't remember that.

And frankly, McCain and Palin and their families are about 1000 times the hooligans that the Obamas and Bidens are.

I know of hooligans -- I played rugby in college, and, well we'll leave it at that. McCain's younger hell-raising days certainly also qualify; Palin's backstory needs not be repeated.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama spent his years after college working with the dispossessed and then went to one of the toughest law schools in the nation; he's married to an accomplished professional woman that watches Dick van Dyke and the Brady Bunch on re-run. Joe Biden doesn't drink and has taken the train home to take care of his family for decades now.

It would be laughable if it weren't so dangerous. I think we know where the 25% true believers that still approve of Bush and Cheney reside -- at McCain/Palin rallies.

Facts, facts, facts (Teddy - 10/9/2008 8:23:02 PM)
Gee, golly, whiz, Ron1, dontcha know by now that facts are garbage put out by the mass media and those commie Democrats. FACTS DO NOT MATTER and only a damned librul keeps thinkin' they do. So shut up already. (Wink).

Hooligans! (BP - 10/9/2008 11:11:13 PM)
Yessirree!  Our dadburn gubmint is jest festooned with hooligans, comma-nists and trollops, by gum!  WAKE UP 'MUHR-CA!!! And, HEY YOU KIDS, GET OFFA MY LAWN!!!

Warms my heart to see that, in some parts of the country, you can still hear "Codger-Speak" spoken exactly as it was fifty years ago.  Imagine that.  Sleeper cells, comprised solely of people untroubled by a new thought for at least fifty years.  I hope someone from the Smithsonian is recording McCain and his supporters for posterity.
