With 27 days to go until November 4th, folks gathered to meet and hear from their future Senator at La Petite Auberge Restaurant on William Street in historic Fredericksburg.

Virginia's U.S. Senate Candidate, Mark Warner continues to "press the flesh" and is "taking nothing for granted" as he meets with past and future constituents in Fredericksburg asking for their help and their VOTE.

While most of his visit was timed for supporters to be able to speak one-on-one, the former Governor did spend "four minutes" talking to the entire restaurant about the current economy and the need to send someone to Washington "that knows how to read a balance sheet"
Also in attendance was Virginia's First Congressional District House Candidate, Bill Day who has been busy working all across the district, at the 20 plus offices open, from Warrenton to Hampton.  He reports that everywhere he goes he is being greeted by excited Democrats who are working for change and are going to vote for Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Mark Warner and Bill Day.

Mayor Tom Tomzak endorsed Governor Warner today (FxbAmy - 10/8/2008 8:53:36 PM)
Many community leaders and elected officials were in attendance today with Gov. Warner, including Senator Edd Houck, At Large School Board Member Jarvis Bailey, and acting Commonwealth's Attorney LaBravia Jenkins. Most notable was the strong endorsement by Mayor Tom Tomzak- a moderate Republican, physician, and former Navy flight surgeon.

Governor Warner referred to Mayor Tomzak as his "sweet spot", exactly the type of pragmatic Republican who values accomplishment over rhetoric, and is crossing over to support his campaign.

We were thrilled to host Gov. Warner today, and are looking forward to his dominant victory in Fredericksburg.
