Fairfax Republicans Go Off Deep End

Not that we really needed it, but below the "fold" you can find absolute, rock-solid proof that Virginia Republicans - in a foam-at-the-mouth inducing panic over Barack Obama winning Virginia - have gone completely off the deep end.

Hey GOP dudes (you're all dudes, right?), I hate to tell you this, but your outright lies and lunacy are not going to convince anyone except maybe your hard-core "base" that's already convinced. More likely, this crap is going to turn off anyone with a brain - in other words, the 99% of Democrats, Independents and moderate Republicans who won't fall for insane fear-mongering garbage like you're spewing below.

By the way...how come you're not talking about the LA Times article today about the US Navy questioning John McCain's judgment? How come you're not talking about the John McCain's role in the Keating Five scandal, which has a gazillion times more relevance to this campaign than does any of the trash you list in your email? How come you're not talking about extremist, clueless, aerial-wolf-killer Sarah Palin, whose latest gaffe is that we border Afghanistan? How come you're not talking about how John McCain votes 90% of the time with George W. Bush or how John McCain admits he knows nothing about economics, or how John McCain's top economic advisor thinks we're a "nation of whiners" in the midst of a "mental recession?"  How come you're not talking about the incredible new numbers of registered voters - overwhelmingly Democratic - across Virginia and the nation? Etc., etc.

Come to think of it, I see why you're trying to change the subject from John McCain; deep down, you know he's a disaster with "nothing to report," so you've resorted to the usual Rove slime tactics against the next President of the United States, Barack Obama.  Unfortunately for you, this is more likely to backfire in Northern Virginia, aka "Communist Country" (according to John McCain's brother).  See you at the Obama inauguration on January 20! :)

PS Didn't John McCain say that Barack Obama "does not share" Rev. Wright's controversial views?

Fairfax County Republican Committee

A CALL TO ACTION
JUST WHO IS BARACK OBAMA?

WE NEED YOU!

Dear Republican Friend,

The election is 29 days away! John McCain is in a tight race here in Virginia and we need your help! No, this is not a solicitation for money! This is a plea to ask you to do all you can in the next month to help get John McCain elected.

[...]

Its not hard to find the differences between the candidates. Obama has strong connections to known terrorists, and his long, sorted and questionable ties to controversial people and radical groups, calls into question his qualifications for the Office of the President.

The Obama/Biden ticket would be the most radical shift to the left in American political history. We all know that Obama will offer a trillion dollars in new spending, and huge tax increases on the American people, but, it is time to expose the relationships Obama has with radical organizations and known terrorists. Obama's cozy friendship with people such as William Ayers, and his relationship with the "ACORN" organization show that his radical associations are with those that wish American harm.

So, just who has Obama associated with?

- William Ayers

   * An unrepentant terrorist who was part of the organization "Weather Undergroud," who attempted to blow up the Pentagon.

-Louis Farrakhan

   * The leader of the "Nation of Islam," who has called Judaism a "gutter religion."

-"ACORN"

   * "Association of Community Organization's Reform Now," is a left-leaning, socialist organization which has been convicted numerous times of voter fraud and was insturmental in the loan foreclosures earlier in the year.
   * Obama trained the staff at "ACORN" and represented them in an Illinois law-suit.

-Rashid Khalidi

   * A member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and has called for the destruction of Israel.

-Jeremiah Wright

   * Pastor of Obama's church, who referred to America as "The United States of KKK America."

In fact, the anti-Israel, anti-American terrorist group Hamas had this to say about Obama, "We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections. He has a vision to change America." -Ahmed Yousef, Chief Political Adviser, Hamas.

My friends, there is an old saying, "You are the company you keep." Obama's relations sound like a who's who of anti-American radicalism. The question is not whether Sen. Obama is qualified to be President, the question is whether America can allow a man with such cozy relationships to terrorist and anti-American organizations to hold the highest office in the land. The answer to that question is, NO.

Therefore, it is time for action. In the last month, help us as we keep Virginia in the "Red." We implore you to stop by our HQ to make phone calls, to participate in our weekly canvasses, to tell your friends and family to vote for McCain/Palin, to write letters to the editor and to share with those who are still undecided the differences between Sen. McCain and Sen. Obama.

Join us in helping elect two true American patriots. Join us as we elect two Maverick's who will stand up for the American taxpayer, who will keep America a force for good in the world and who will make us believe America's best days are ahead of us, not behind.

Vote McCain/Palin 2008

Don't Hope for Change, Vote for It.

Wow. (JPTERP - 10/6/2008 9:05:07 AM)
Absolutely crazy.

Any chance you get could a PDF version of this letter?  I'm curious to know who at the Chainbridge Road office authorized this one.  Isn't 4246 Chainbridge Road Rep. Wolf's main local office?

Someone forwarded this to me (Lowell - 10/6/2008 9:55:39 AM)
but no PDF.  At the bottom, it says "Fairfax County Republican Committee | 4246 Chainbridge Road | Fairfax | VA | 22030"

I got one of those letters (Teddy - 10/6/2008 12:49:43 PM)
It was on Newsmax.com, too, a week or more ago. As I recall, it's lead or heading was about "Shock and Awe" for Obama coming in Octoberm hahaha... if only you loyal conservatives will send money to pay for it. Is this part of the Swift Boaters' ballyhooed attack, or is there worse sludge on the way from that delightful group?

McPain (NP - 10/6/2008 9:46:42 AM)
Condi Rice's father was friends with Farrakhan.  He used to sponsor him at his college.  So she grew up with his influence.

The Reverend Wright is a U.S. Marine.  Once a Marine always a Marine.

The Weathermen used revolution to stop an illegal war.

I was listening to the radio yesterday and it was decided that the republicans HAVE to get their people active because of how active Democrats are.  But how do you get comfortable people moving.

I know the contractor organizations are sending out emails to employees reminding them to be careful who they vote for because their jobs are at stake.  How deep is that.  Most of the mcpain bumper stickers are probably people worried about their jobs, that less money will go into their war making.

Fairfax Republicans (jrm - 10/6/2008 11:09:35 AM)
What are "sorted" associations?

That's "sordid" for people who can't spell (Lowell - 10/6/2008 11:22:01 AM)
above 3rd grade level. :)

No, no, Lowell, (Teddy - 10/6/2008 12:57:15 PM)
that "sorted" refers to Harry Potter's "Sorting Hat." These associations have already been sorted and that sorting cannot be questioned, so any good Republican must be a little tiny bit confused by the terminology here.

Barack Obama (johnsterry - 10/6/2008 3:31:18 PM)
The fact of the matter is that the liberals cannot stand that maybe just maybe their candidate does have rather "sordid" relations. I mean the truth of the matter is that Obama has these connections and try as you might to try to diffuse this, I wonder how anyone can elect a man who has relations with people who really hate this country.

Remember what Obama said, "We live in the greatest country in the world. Join with me as we change it."
-Obama.

There used to be a time when a War Hero was respected in this country, and their used to be a time when America was loved, not hated...The liberal agenda has seen fit to attack this country and everything it stands for. Y'all support Free Speech, as long as it is about things you believe in.

Cool it (Teddy - 10/6/2008 5:44:22 PM)
I do not hate America. You seem to feel that if Obama says he loves his country but wants to change it that he somehow does not love his country after all. I believe McCain has adopted the "Change" motto, as well. If he is sincere in his new motto, then your candidate wants to change America also.

The reason the Change motto is so popular is that most Americans love their country but do not like the direction in which it has been led by the Republican in the White House, nor do they like how the Republicans have shredded the Constitution and, in fact, engineered their own changes in this country. If you have a child, johnsterry, I will assume you love that child; but have you always liked everything that child has done? No? Have you therefore tried to change the direction the child is going? I do not understand this peculiar dogma that one is not "patriotic" if one sees something wrong or poorly done, and then seeks to change and improve it.

It has been my observation over the years that those who ostentatiously wrap themselves in the flag are likely covering-up their own scoundrelly behavior.  Attacking the patriotism of another is a time-honored way to distract attention from one's own nefarious, possibly traitorous machinations.

John McCain says he wants to (Lowell - 10/6/2008 5:49:34 PM)
fundamentally change the country (he says "change is coming"). I don't believe him for a second, but do you believe it's a bad thing that he says he wants to?

As far as Obama is concerned, if you really think he's had "sordid" relations (Ayers has associated with lots of Republicans as well as Democrats, so that's a total joke), then what do you think about John McCain's associations with Charles Keating, Phil Gramm, the extremist/racist/anti-Semitic "World Anti-Communist League," etc?

Finally, you might want to read today's LA Times article entitled, "Mishaps mark John McCain's record as naval aviator."  The key quote: "Three crashes early in his career led Navy officials to question or fault his judgment."
