Perriello's parents tell of Tom's upbringing

The Letter to the Editor from Dr. and Mrs. Vito Perriello in todays Martinsville Bulletin showed a real sense of class. Much like the class shown by their son through out his campaign.

Tom Perriello has spent some of his time, helping to give back to the community with his "Volunteer Tithing Initiative", and sticking with the issues facing the working people of the 5th CD.

By comparison, Goode has misled on his voting record, avoided the issues at all costs, and led a Karl Rove type campaign. Now his is cancelling televised debates that have been set up for months, and blaming his campaign manager.

Oh, lets not forget, he did feed some of his supporters melon slices!
Should Goode be successful in his bid for reelection, his supporters, who don't really expect Goode to do anything at all, will get just what they want. However, those of us that truly care about the issues and the 5th CD will be left hanging in the wind.

I hope those of you that believe in Tom Perriello will join me in making a donation to Tom's campaign. No matter how small, it will be a help. Get out there and talk to your neighbors and friends and let them know just how important this Congressional election is!

Mr. and Mrs. Perriello are some of the nicest (jsalt - 10/5/2008 1:12:19 PM)
people I've met.  I think it's wonderful they are saying something to the people of Martinsville about their son.  This is the first time I've ever heard  of parents making a statement like this in an election.  Kudos.
