Which member of the Virginia House of Delegates invited limelight-seeking Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt into the General Assembly building to give a press conference this past Wednesday in which one of the participants likened Governor Tim Kaine to the Anti-Christ?

The winner gets… well nothing. Times are tough.

IF It's a Republican (oldsoldier - 10/3/2008 2:44:10 PM)
The my guess is either Morgan Griffith or somebody with the Republican first name of Tucker.

I am quite liberal on the subject of religion (Tiderion - 10/3/2008 3:20:31 PM)
in the sense that I am fine with pastors speaking of politics in the pulpit. I am not afraid of Americans engaging in the political system at any time. I am afraid of zombies. I am afraid of empty-headed, blank slate armies of voters that can't think for themselves and rely on their pastor for their religious and political beliefs. I do not suggest everyone who attends church, any church, is this type of person. I am sure that there are plenty out there though. I fear for America when people cannot make up their own mind on issues.

On this subject, I find it sickening that these organizations are asking for the pastors to be reinstated as if they were fired or something. They quit. Let them. Secularism from the state is a good thing. It protected all the other Christian sects from being dominated by Episcopalians in our earliest years. I don't want to be preached to by any state official while they're on duty just like how they are not allowed to give political opinions while on duty.

My guess is delegate Marshall (thegools - 10/3/2008 3:24:58 PM)
He always says the craziest things.
