Didn't Palin just get the name wrong of our Army commander in Afghanistan. His name is David D. McKiernan. Who's the McClellan she was talking about? She pretty clearly misstated what he said, but she seems not even to know who he is. And here's the article with the General saying what Biden said he said, that a surge type strategy wouldn't work.
But, seriously, did you think that she did?
UPDATE: Spoke too soon. Her gaffe-of-the-night was returning immediately to vapid talking points right after Biden's passion led him to almost choke up when talking about his family tragedy. That's the you-tube moment of the night -- the stark contrast between his emotion and her mind-of-empty-talking-points.

And this is the regular person who's supposed to care about me? The most striking thing about Palin is precisely that she is so programmed and unnatural. I just hope that after so many years of watching giggling airhead news anchors, that Americans don't think that this pablum has any relation to reality.
However, the gaffe that will live on here is her comment about the powers of the VP. She said the Constitution gives wide latitude and power in the legislature to the VP. NOT TRUE and Biden nailed her on it without ever mentioning her response....he talked about how Cheney had eviscerated the Constitution and promoted the unitary Executive.
Let's see that comment replayed against McCain's statement that the VP has only 2 duties. To inquire as to the health of the President and to break ties in the Senate. Or let's see an ad cut with Cheney refusing to testify and talking about how the VP is his own branch of government.
And how do you direct every question back to energy in Alaska and drill, baby, drill??????
