World United Against Iran

This morning, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) voted 27-3 to report Iran to the UN Security Council.  Reportedly, Iran said it would "retaliate immediately."  Specifically, Iran said it would "stop honoring an agreement with the IAEA allowing its inspectors broad powers to monitor and probe Tehran's nuclear activities and would start work on full-scale uranium enrichment, an activity that can produce the fissile core of nuclear warheads." Wonderful.

The vote was sponsored by Britain, France and Germany, and opposed by only Cuba, Syria and Venezuela - three paragons of freedom and human rights (not!).  Abstaining were Algeria, Belarus, Indonesia, Libya and South Africa.  Next action likely will be taken in March, including possible economic sanctions against Iran.  I say, "it's about time!"
