Nice job, Eric! (Lowell - 9/28/2008 4:03:08 PM)
You should x-post this on DKos if you get a chance...

And in Alaska (NP - 9/28/2008 4:35:20 PM)

And this is why palin can't go back to Alaska right now.  I wonder if she will ever be reelected.  The Alaskans at least want the mccain compaign out of their politics.  They are running Alaska since she can't go back.  The sleeping Wolf has been awakened.

She was watching the debate at an Irish restaurant and there were 200 people outside protesting her.

Republicans need Photoshop (relawson - 9/28/2008 5:38:54 PM)
to get large crowds like that.

From a Mary Wash grad.... (batonmommy - 9/28/2008 6:14:15 PM)
I am so proud of the Wash (I cannot call it UMW) for hosting this incredible rally. Had I still been in school I could have watched from my dorm window overlooking Ball Circle.

Sorry - that wouldn't (Eric - 9/29/2008 9:28:20 AM)
have happened.  James (now a student at MW) told us that the Secret Service wasn't allowing anyone to look out through their dorm windows.   But a lot of students either got press passes or volunteer passes from what I could tell - so you would've had a good view anyway.

Wow, Eric (aznew - 9/28/2008 7:52:26 PM)
Some awesome pictures.

Two really stuck out for me -- the one of Barack (solo) listening intently to Biden, and the one of Biden, foot up on his stool, listening to Barack.

I also liked the shor of them from the back when they first got on stage.

Thanks. (Eric - 9/29/2008 9:30:30 AM)
We had a good time and it was great to see/hear Obama and Biden.  It was also a lot of fun trying to do a live report with fairly simple technology (i.e. cell phone).  All things considered, that seemed to go very well.  RK will have to do more of that in the future.

Looks a lot different! (Eric - 9/29/2008 9:31:56 AM)
Where are all the people?  :-)

It's good to see that they got most of the trash picked up quickly.

One of the 14,000 (hereinva - 9/28/2008 9:24:18 PM)
Though I didn't get inside the venue area, the crowds outside were even larger. We were standing shoulder to shoulder, kids on shoulders, standing on benches, and all quite soggy. I've never seen such a crowd in the Fredericksburg region.

And despite the long lines and wait..there was a lot of camaraderie among fellow "linesmen"; cheering, chanting, joking, and evening singing.."Let The Sunshine" while it was raining.  Enjoyed the fantastic photos..especially some of David Katz' photos.
